When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them,
“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
Mark 10:14
Faith Formation is more than just religious instruction.
Its goal is to facilitate growth in faith that encourages Catholics, both young and adult, to live out the Gospels and become better disciples of Jesus Christ. It prepares members to proclaim the Good News, give a deeper understanding of the Sacraments, and to establish standards of a good Catholic life.
Scripture Sharing
Scripture Study- Bible study takes place on Tuesdays at 10:30 am in the parish hall. We read, study and discuss the readings from the Holy Bible.

Children
Grades K-8
Bring your children to join others in receiving a complete catholic formation designed to develop a faith encounter with Christ through the teachings of the Catholic Church. Our program helps children to increase their faith prepare through the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. They will come to understand the most holy sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our Father, and the Holy Spirit in the mass and in the parish community.
In addition to classroom instructions, we offer children masses, retreats, living stations of the cross, and vacation bible school. Vacation bible school is a program developed by our Sunday visitor for catholic children.
All our teachers have been trained in catechesis and are enthusiastic about their faith. They have all taken the required safe environment training and love working with children.
First Reconciliation and First Communion take place in the second and third grade. Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth grade focus on basic teachings of the Catholic Church, the Bible, and who Jesus is. Seventh and Eighth grade focus on the preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.
The program is offered on Sundays after the 9 AM mass up until the 11:30 AM mass.
If you are interested in signing up your child for these classes, please fill out the online registration. Our staff will be alerted once you have submitted the form.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults/Children
All Ages
Baptized Catholics frequently discover they have yet to “become Catholic”: some who missed essential religious formation may now be eager to continue the growth that all Catholics should experience. Throughout the year, the parish offers series and sessions for such adults.
The RCIA, which stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Children and Adults, is a process through which non-baptized men and women enter the Catholic Church. It includes several stages marked by study, prayer and rites at Mass. Participants in the RCIA are known as catechumens. They undergo a process of conversion as they study the Gospel, profess faith in Jesus and the Catholic Church, and receive the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and Holy Eucharist. The RCIA process follows the ancient practice of the church and was restored by the Second Vatican Council as the normal way adults prepare for baptism.
Someone baptized in a Christian church may now wish to be a Catholic. A group similar to the Catechumenate receives instruction, guidance, and support. Reception into the church usually also takes place at the Easter Vigil.
RCIA for adults is offered on Wednesdays after the 6 PM mass up until 8 PM.
RCIA is also offered for children of the age of reason and older but not yet adults. The program is offered on Sunday mornings after the 9 AM mass up until the 11:30 AM mass.
If you are interested in RCIA, please contact our parish office.
